Hello December!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, almost. But somehow it’s already creeped up on us, it’s bloody December tomorrow. And my god, I am not ready.

Total of christmas presents bought for myself: 4

Total of christmas presents bought for other people: 0

I’m so artistic

I’m a bad person. What probably doesn’t help is my unpaid internship, which comes to an end this month and I’ll find out if I actually get paid to do it. So PLEASE keep your fingers crossed for me, I’ll even buy you a christmas present if you do (I won’t). So it’s been a while since my last weekly trivia, so I thought I’d compact it all in here, two birds one stone and all that. So I’ve been to Brighton and Southampton for some cute days out, which were GREAT, the trip to Southampton being to go and see two of my best friends perform at an Open Mic competition.

A big butt hole next to a bigger butt hole

Brighton was for no other reason other than to go to Brighton because I bloody love it, where Joe won me a Yoda from a claw machine and bought me a cuddly penguin from SeaLife. I totally thought I’d grown out of sleeping with a cuddly toy. I totally haven’t.

I’ve also had my bedroom basically DESTROYED which is why I’ve been a little bit AWOL recently. Where my room is having the last parts done (the biggest parts, albeit), I had to take out every single thing from my room so my wardrobe could be taken apart and the carpet replaced. That includes the bed, so I was relegated to the spare room for the night. First world problems right? All my stuff is back in my room and I have a shiny new carpet, but my wardrobe doesn’t arrive til this Friday and then isn’t being put up til the Monday, so I’m currently living out of boxes and goodness me, I’m not enjoying it, my room is a mess. The organisation fiend inside me is

Look at my pretty friends do their thing

But, to take me away from all the mess this weekend, Joe is taking me for a cute weekend in London and I am SO excited because we’re going to see one of my favourite bands, Nothing But Thieves and then going to Winter Wonderland the next day. Although we have a nice posh dinner and then we’re going to the gig, so I am going to be VERY overdressed. But I’m a blogger so that’s totally okay, right? I already know what I’m wearing for dinner. We’re going to the Paternoster Chophouse, otherwise known at the First Dates restaurant. How exciting. I bought a pretty green satin floral wrap dress from New Look and I will be pairing them with the ultimate Black Friday find. These INCREDIBLE thigh high boots from asos. Just. Look. I will upload SO many photos next week. You can see how overdressed I’ll be for Brixton.

The week after I’m heading back to Winter Wonderland with the GRLPOWR girls and I am BEYOND excited to finally meet all those lovely ladies. But my work christmas party is the day before so I may be feeling sliiiiiightly sensitive. The weekend after that is the vow renewal of my grandparents for their 50th anniversary which is so sweet and I can’t wait. Not to mention the open bar. Rather excited for that.

And then the week after it’s CHRISTMAS. I honestly have no idea why I’m so excited since I have no money to buy anyone any decent christmas presents, but I get to chill out with my family and that sounds pretty damn great to me.

I’m not quite Adam Elmakias

I keep thinking back to my past Decembers. They always seem to be eventful. On the 7th it’ll be THREE years since me and the boys saw Don Broco, on the 14th it would have been my 3rd anniversary with my ex and it’ll be a year since we split (yes I’m heartless), and on the 12th it’ll be two years since I visited Paris for the first time. Oh the memories.

It blows my MIND that after this month it’s next year. 20 bloody 17. HOW. This year has gone painfully fast. It only feels about five minutes ago that my parents were on their summer holiday and I was watching Jon Snow beat the shit out of Ramsay Bolton while listening to Heathens by Twenty One Pilots. Yes that is my resounding memory of summer. Sad I know. Who knows though, while this year has been amazing in some senses, it’s also been bloody awful in others, so here’s hoping for an even better 2017.
