Weekly Trivia #4

So once again, it been a long long while since my last weekly trivia, but my December was just SO busy I just didn’t have time.Christmas was fab. It wasn’t particularly festive, but Mitchell Christmases rarely are. But still I loved it. It was relaxed and cosy and this year I was lucky enough to have the whole week off, unlike a couple of years ago where I worked Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the week after that. Ahh hospitality, how I don’t miss you.

I have a problem

So, quick updates! A lot went on in December but the main thing was…. I GOT THE JOB! The job I’d been working unpaid in hope to get, I’ve finally been confirmed! I’m SO happy. I’ve just finished my first week as an official employee and I’m just so ready to learn all the stuff and do all the stuff and be great at all the stuff.

I spent my week off with Joe as he managed to book the time off work, playing on our new baby, the PS4. And since I’m a massive Final Fantasy nerd, so many waking hours have been lost to Final Fantasy XV and I’m loving it. May or may not be sliiiiightly addicted.

Week 1: Time to get those abs

But, in the few hours I’ve spent this week not at work or on the lovely PS4, I’ve been doing actual exercise. Since I despise the gym with a passion, I found a workout that worked for me. Yoga. I downloaded an app called Asana Rebel and tried the 5 minute daily workout and I was instantly obsessed. You can feel yourself stretching and strengthening but without the wheezing chest and aching joints. No one else gets that? Just me? Oh. At the beginning of this week I decided to take the plunge and buy into a years membership for just under £30, so I could have access to the Coach section and the programs. So this week I’ve been powering through the Bikini Body six week program and good LORD it’s been killing me. So for the next week I’ll be keeping you updated on my progress, I’m so excited to actually have muscles!

A sneak peek…

 

As a semi-resolution this year, I decided to improve my photography, so I did a bit of experimenting. I actually added some props and instead of using my usual 18-55mm lens, I swapped it out for my 50mm and I immediately fell in love with the results. I absolutely adore the photos I’ve taken for my next few posts and I’m so motivated to keep experimenting. One day I might have some spectacular photos.

God damn those cookies.

So that’s it for now, the Tanya Burr cookies I just baked have cooled and now I actually need to go wash up. Sigh…

    I love weight lifting so I recommend not to stop working out! It may be hard at first but after the first weeks you’ll get used to it, then your body will ask for more. I get out of gym with more energy and happier! 👍🏻

      It’s more cardio I struggle with, I used to be a dancer so I have a really short stamina and I’ve basically ruined all my joints 🙈 I do miss lifting weights though!

          I am and I love it! Although it was a bit of a change to suddenly being sitting down all day 😂
