Babyliss Curling Wand

I have been known for YEARS for not actually giving a toss about my hair, but recently I decided that I should probably get my act together. So to stop me from stealing her tongs, my mother bought me this curling wand, which even comes with a handy heatproof glove because I realllllly need to stop burning myself.

I’ve always been bad at using tongs because I always leave the ends out, but this wand makes it so easy to curl my hair all the way down to the tips. It also features some rubber grips down the wand to keep it secure as you curl it (which is the best thing for me because my hair is TOTALLY uncontrollable.

The best part about this is the conical wand. This means you can customise your curl AND you don’t have to buy other ‘heads’ like you do for other brands. I can change what kind of curl I got for depending on how I feel. My personal favourite at the moment is a classic corkscrew WILD 80s look, which while it isn’t a fab everyday look, it definitely makes a statement.

As well as a customisable curl, it also features a customisable heat with four different heat levels, from 160 degrees to 210 degrees. Which is fab for me, because I have SUCH dry hair that I don’t like using too much heat on it. So along with my 230 degree protection Elvive hair oil, keeping it on 160 (or 180 if it’s being PARTICULARLY disobedient), I can help save my bleached and dry hair as much as I can.

I’m still practicing with it, so I’m not the best yet, so any tips are TOTALLy welcome.

I’ve missed curling my hair due to not finding a great curler but this sounds like a great one, my birthday is coming up so I think I’m going to have to drop a few hints to my man 🙂

I’d love a curling wand but my hair won’t stay curled! It’s naturally wavy but proper curls just drop out 🙁 I’ve always loved the 80s wild curls too, especially with a big bow! Great post lovely 🙂
