Valentine’s Looks

Whether you’re celebrating with a lover or celebrating being fabulously single, there’s no reason not to look great at the same time.

I had a play around and came up with three different looks for the three potential outfits that I totally can’t decide between using my three favourite warm-toned palettes: Naked 3, Ultimate Basics and Modern Renaissance. Of course I had to go for pinks and reds, when else can an un-girly girl like me get away with it?

Naked 3

For subtle, everyday looks, this is my go-to palette. It’s so good for soft, smokey looks with a touch of girliness in there.

I started this look with Limit as my base colour with Nooner in my crease. I then had to work quite hard to get Mugshot across my lid as it’s really REALLY unpigmented. That’s my only problem with this palette. The shimmer shades are so pretty in the pan, but almost IMPOSSIBLE to get them to look like that on the lid. I then finished with Darkheart and smoked out the lower lash line. Adding a TINY bit of Vermeer from Modern Renaissance (okay I cheated a little bit with this one) and then a quick layer of Gemini Liquid Lipstick by Jeffree Star and I’m ready to go.Β I’ve paired this with my green floral dress because I LOVE dusty pinks mixed with emerald greens.

See here I went a bit bold. I constantly see guys and girls on instagram absolutely nailing a cut crease using the pinks from this palette, so I thought I’d give it a go. Sliiiightly messy, but I think it turned out pretty okay. With Tempera as my base colour (crying slightly as I’ve hit the pan) and Buon Fresco over the lid, I whack a load of Love Letter over the top. TOTALLY used tape, I am nowhere near neat enough for freehand. Although I’m terrible at getting the angle right for the tape. Any pointers? Anyone? Going over the inner corner with concealer and blending into the centre of the lid, I add another layer on Buon Fresco before finishing with a touch of Vermeer in the corner and a flick of liner. Bold and bright, ready for a party or just for making at statement.

So this one is actually a bit less pink. What a miracle right? I needed a look to go with my red sequin dress and I just couldn’t not go with a classic wing. But I can’t resist adding a bit of a crease. My favourite everyday look is a bit of Pre-Game as my base with a mix of Faith and Lockout in my crease. To add a bit of Valentine’s glam however, you just gotta add that liner, right? And, since it’s apparently the most romantic day of the year, you gotta get that sparkle in. For that inner corner and brow bone glow I used Summer from my Sun Dipped Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit. For eyes, I’m done, but what better to go with a red dress than a red lip?

For that bright red lip I used Rich Blood by Jeffree Star (can you tell I love his products?) which contains a lil bit of glitter to really make those lips POP.

Hopefully I’ll make my choice of what look to go for in the next couple of days until the big day itself, but let me know if you have any other favourite Valentine’s looks that I can have a snoop at. Link me up people!

Gorgeous looks hon! I have all three of these palettes, and agree with the Naked 3 palette! I thought some of the shimmer shades weren’t as pigmented, but wasn’t sure if it was just me! Obsessed with the other two though! Great post, lovely!
