Weekly Trivia #10

So this week we’ve had that most special day of the year. The 15th, where all the chocolate and flowers are suddenly REALLY cheap. All joking aside, my Valentine’s Day was lovely, aside from the 8 hours of work, Joe surprised me with a bunch of roses that he was ADAMANT he wasn’t going to buy me. Ha. I win. Plus Galaxy Golden Eggs which are TOTALLY my weakness, followed by an INCREDIBLE dinner at Cote Brasserie. Seriously, it was the best steak I’ve ever had. Plus there was a father on the table next to us who’d taken his little girl out for Valentine’s Day and our hearts were MELTING. Since we didn’t get to see each other for that long on Valentine’s Day, we sort of started it on the weekend. I spent the morning re-doing some old photography, that hopefully you’ll all see soon, before we headed into town for a TINY bit of holiday preparation.

And by that, I mean dinner at Zizzi’s followed by a big load of Primark shopping for a handbag or two. After sorting out our travel money, we head home for a little bit so Joe can play For Honour before venturing back out for the date night of all date nights. Fifty Shades Darker. Now I’ve read all the books and I’ve seen the first film and admittedly, story-wise, they’re not FANTASTIC, but they’re glitzy and glamorous and they both have BANGING soundtracks, although I’m gutted The Police aren’t on the second one.

Sunday was a totally lazy day which I was so happy about because I haven’t had a good night’s sleep since my car crash where I’ve been pointlessly anxious about pointless things. Worrying about missing the bus when I’m getting a lift to the station from my mum. WHY. So Sunday all we did was lay in bed playing games, went for an all-you-can-eat curry with Joe’s family and then going back home to play more games and lay in bed some more. So even if there wasn’t much romantic time on Tuesday, we made up for it at the weekend.

We also tried our hand at making some more of the legendary salted Nutella cookies which somehow went DISASTROUSLY wrong. I have NO idea how or why but they went SO WRONG, I feel like my cooking prowess has gone out the window.

But now it’s already Friday and we’re already over halfway through February, which means a week til Paris! Since last week’s photography lesson, Joe has promised me he’ll take some FAB shots, so I’ve put together a Pinterest board, which maybe I’ll throw in another lesson on this week. Who knows, maybe Photographer Joe will make appearances after Paris, which could help me get into fashion blogging without a tripod and a ten second timer…

The salted Nutella cookies sound delicious. Sorry to hear they didn’t turn out right, I had a little cooking disaster myself recently, I’ve been put off trying to attempt it again. Haha.

    Thanks for sharing.
