The lovely folk from Hollywood Browzer reached out to me a couple of weeks ago to review this little piece of kit, so here we are!
The Hollywood Browzer is a nifty little thing that promises to remove unwanted hair with virtually no pain, redness or irritation, which is a very nice idea. Not just for use on your eyebrows, it can also be used across the body and face to remove any excess and dead skin, perfect for that whole dermaplaning thing. All you have to do is place is against the skin at a 45 degree angle on clean, dry skin. No water, no mess, nothing.
I received two blades, which last two to three months each, so it could keep me going for a while, along with a little pouch to put them in, perfect for travelling and quick touch ups.
First impressions, I was a little bit scared. Shaving my eyebrows was something I’d never thought of doing, mainly because I was very very concerned about it going wrong. I knew a girl that tried to shave her eyebrows once. Oh no. Oh no no no.
But, I powered on through with my fear. Very very carefully. Using it on arch, you can feel it tugging against the hair. Not in a painful way, but you definitely know where it is and what it’s doing. Which can definitely be a good thing, since you don’t want a stray blade cutting off any hairs that you really don’t want them to.
I also used it on the tops of my brows, you know where you get those hairs over the top of your arch that don’t really know what they’re doing? Yeah, it’s FAB on those, my brows have never looked so organised.
In previous posts I’ve mentioned how I have problems with my skin around my jaw, so I really put this to the test there, to see if it can really get those dead skin cells off. And it does, along with my peach fuzz, I was actually surprised at how much came off in one stroke. Damn my skin was smooth. It wasn’t red, angry or sore either. What a bonus.
The only downside is, obviously, since it’s shaving, it won’t last nearly as long it would to pluck or wax your brows, but it’s SO much quicker that it totally makes up for it. Overall, I was really pleasantly surprised about how easy it is to use and not particularly scary either. This lil beauty will definitely be coming on holiday with me.
